Savoury pie with hazelnut

Savoury pie with pear, taleggio cheese and hazelnut grain

Ingredients

  • 350gr of puff pastry
  • 100gr of Radicchio
  • 1 shallot
  • 150gr of taleggio cheese
  • 1 pear
  • Hazelnut grain at will
  • 1 egg
  • Milk
  • Extra virgin olive oil 
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

Clean the Radicchio, wash it and mince it. Then sweat it with a oil spoon together with the shallot finely minced and the salt and pepper. Simmer it with a little bit of white wine. Let cook for 10 minutes about, then let it cool. This will be your stuffing!

Roll out the puff pastry, about 3mm thickness. Then cut 8 disks, 4 disks of 8mm diameter and 4 of 12mm of diameter.
Cover the mold with the bigger disks and fill with the stuffing, the taleggio cheese in small pieces, the sliced pear and the hazelnut grain.
Cover the disks with the smaller ones, making stick the edges.

Paint the surface with the egg yolk beated with a little bit of milk and put in the oven at 200° for 15 minutes, until they get a brown color.

Your pies are ready to serve, both warm and quite cold!
